Who I Am

I’m a Nigerian-born chef based in Montréal with over eight years of international culinary experience. Formally trained in the culinary arts, I have worked in kitchens across Canada and Nigeria, from fast-paced restaurants to intimate private dining. I have honed my skills under Michelin-trained chefs and award-winning culinary leaders, bringing a high level of technique and refinement to every dish I create. My journey began at home, cooking beside my parents from a young age. After stepping away from engineering and excelling in my first kitchen job, I knew this was the path I wanted to pursue.

My work is rooted in Afro-Fusion. A culinary identity that honours African heritage, flavours, and traditions while blending them with international techniques and ingredients. This style of cooking is rare worldwide, and I’m proud to be pioneering it in Montréal. I’m not just preserving African cuisine, I’m refining it to stand proudly on the global stage.

Culinary art is just one of the ways I express myself. I’m also an artist in other disciplines: music, poetry, and performance. All of my work is guided by a deep desire to create, connect, and communicate meaning.

Through my curated market tours, immersive cooking classes, and intimate private dinners, I create experiences that nourish, connect, and inspire. Guests leave with more than a full belly. They leave with stories, skills, and a deeper appreciation of culture through the eyes of an African chef.
